The European Parliament’s rapporteur for Serbia, Tonino Picula, stated this evening that it is time for Serbia, after the convincing victory of the student list in the parliamentary elections, to focus on the rule of law and reforms that lead the country towards the European Union.
Picula wrote on X that the citizens of Serbia have decided by a convincing majority what kind of future they want, that the assessment of the electoral process should be left to observers, but that the will of the voters deserves full respect.
“Now is the time for the rule of law, reforms, and institutions that serve all citizens. That should be the path towards the EU,” Picula stated.
