The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) announced today that a cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz was hit by an unidentified projectile.
The British Navy agency stated that two people were killed in the attack, the ship caught fire, and is drifting without power.
The crew has been evacuated from the ship.
UKMTO states that the competent authorities are conducting an investigation and that there are currently no reports of environmental consequences from the attack.
