The opposition in Kosjerić and Zaječar has declared victory. Students from Belgrade have headed toward the Presidency building.
The City Assembly of Zaječar has 50 council seats, and 47,353 citizens are eligible to vote at 69 polling stations from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Voters in Zaječar chose among eight electoral lists: “Aleksandar Vučić – We Won’t Give Up Serbia,” “Change We Believe In – Uglješa Đuričković – Dragana Rašić,” “United to Save Zaječar – Miladin Krstić – Mirko Jelenković,” “Dr. Nenad Ristović – Responsible Governance for Zaječar,” and “Ivica Dačić – Socialist Party of Serbia – Decisively for Zaječar.”
They could also vote for the lists: “Coalition for Eastern Serbia – Saša Radulović Grljanac,” “We Are the Power of the People, Prof. Dr. Branimir Nestorović – City of Zaječar,” and “Serbian Liberals – Let the Experts Decide – Vladimir Kovačević.”
The Municipal Assembly of Kosjerić has 27 council seats. At 29 polling stations, 8,897 eligible voters chose between three electoral lists – “We Won’t Give Up Serbia – Aleksandar Vučić,” “Russian Party – Serbia in BRICS! Slobodan Nikolić,” and “United for Kosjerić.”
