At least two people were killed and civilian infrastructure was damaged in last night’s Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv, Ukrainian officials reported.
Blasts were heard throughout the central part of Kyiv around three o’clock in the morning.
A missile struck a non-residential building in the Podilskyi district and caused a fire, the Kyiv military administration announced.
In the Darnytskyi district, a missile caused a fire in a garage complex, which was damaged. The fire was extinguished, officials stated. Debris from the attack was also reported in a nearby open area.
The military administration stated that two people were killed in the attack, without providing further information.
The head of the Kyiv regional military administration, Timur Tkachenko, said that the wider Kyiv region was also targeted in a combined attack by drones and ballistic missiles.
He said that in the Obukhiv district, three production facilities and warehouses were damaged. Fires broke out at that location but were extinguished. A truck and a trailer were also damaged, Tkachenko said.
