Đilas Responds to Lompar: „There Is No First and Second Serbia“

In a statement, Đilas rejects the claim that there is a „first“ and „second“ Serbia, stating that all citizens of Serbia love their country equally. He also says that by making such assessments, Lompar is dividing the people, „just as Vučić and the radicals do.“

The SSP president states that the European Union is „anything but“ a pillar of support for Aleksandar Vučić’s regime. He mentions criminals, thugs, fake journalists, fake patriots, corrupt police officers and prosecutors, as well as businessmen who, as he says, are plundering Serbia together with Vučić, as the true pillars of the government.

Đilas claims that the regime has far better relations internationally with China and Russia than with the European Union. In this context, he mentions reports on Vučić’s Serbia adopted by the European Commission and the European Parliament, what Merc said in Tivat, as well as the resolution of the Council of Europe that is „currently“ being adopted.

He concludes by stating that the slogan „NO Vučić – NO Europe“ does not lead to change, but that change comes through the policy of „NO Vučić – YES Europe!“ He adds that he has been fighting for Serbia in Europe for „decades“ and that he will not give up that fight.
