The statement said that linking the mechanism of mutual legal assistance to these cases is „untrue and extremely malicious,“ and that it is being done with the aim of causing public unrest and undermining trust in Serbian institutions.
The Ministry emphasized that citizens have no reason to worry because Serbian institutions have not participated, nor will they participate, in the delivery of letters which, as stated, are „the result of fabricated claims and staged politically motivated processes.“
It was also assessed that such actions by institutions in Pristina constitute a gross violation of rights and contribute to the destabilization of the region, the persecution of Serbs, and further violations of their basic human rights.
The Ministry of Justice stated that citizens are not obliged to treat such letters as valid documents and that for additional information and instructions, they may contact the competent state authorities.
The Ministry also stated that the competent authorities will act upon citizens’ reports and determine all circumstances that led to the disturbance of the public and affected individuals.
