Six people were killed and 20 wounded this morning in Russian attacks on the city of Zaporizhzhia in southeastern Ukraine, while attacks and fires were also reported in Kyiv, officials said.
The governor of Zaporizhzhia region, Ivan Fedorov, stated that Russian forces targeted the city with missiles and aerial bombs, according to Reuters.
Air raid sirens were heard in both Zaporizhzhia and Kyiv.
The Kyiv city administration reported a fire at a warehouse in the central district of the city, with one person injured.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that medical teams were dispatched to the city center, and eyewitnesses told Reuters that explosions were heard in the city.
In other parts of Ukraine, local authorities reported that six more people were killed and 16 wounded overnight in the Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions.
