Ukraine has struck a warehouse belonging to the Russian company Ozon, which operates in online retail, Reuters reports.
The governor of Russia’s Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, announced today that Ukrainian drones hit a warehouse belonging to Ozon, a major Russian online retailer, as well as an industrial facility during an overnight attack.
In a post on the social network Telegram, Fedorishchev stated that several people were injured during the attack.
He did not specify which industrial facility was hit.
Reuters notes that the region where the attack occurred contains several oil refineries that have repeatedly been targeted by Ukrainian attacks.
Ozon, the second largest Russian online retailer, announced that operations at its logistics center in the Samara region have been suspended.
This is the first attack so far on Ozon, following weeks of strikes targeting its larger rival Wildberries, which Ukraine has carried out as part of a broader campaign against economic infrastructure that Russia uses to finance the war.
