At least three people, including a child, were killed overnight in Russian attacks near the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, the BBC reports, citing local officials.
Missiles struck an area east of the capital early this morning, and eyewitnesses reported powerful explosions, just days after 21 people were killed in strikes across Ukraine.
Three people were killed and three more injured in the ballistic missile attacks, said the head of the regional military administration, Timur Tkachenko.
He added that debris from downed missiles damaged residential buildings and cars, while a fire broke out at another facility.
Emergency crews extinguished fires at a building and a fuel tank in Kyiv, wrote Mayor Vitali Klitschko on Telegram.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine published photos showing burning garages, a business facility, and a building in Kyiv, stating that „the number of casualties is being determined.“
