At least 13 people have died and seven are reported missing in heavy rains and floods that have hit Chile, agencies reported today.
The severe weather in the central and southern parts of the country has caused flooding, road blockages, and significant damage to homes.
More than 2,200 people have been forced to leave their homes, and around 87,000 people are without electricity.
Authorities have warned that there is still a risk of rising river levels.
Officials have announced that the government plans to initiate proceedings against distributors due to the slow restoration of electricity after the outage.
