The head of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Leo XIV, will be discharged from the hospital today after lung cancer surgery, the Vatican announced.
Four days ago, a part of his pleura was removed after doctors discovered a growth, which turned out to be the most common form of lung cancer.
Tomorrow, the Pope will deliver the traditional Sunday blessing from the window overlooking St. Peter’s Square in Rome.
