One person was killed and three were injured in a Ukrainian attack in southwestern Russia, local officials announced today.
The governor of Russia’s Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, stated that a child was among the injured and added that houses, residential buildings, and an unnamed „industrial facility“ were damaged in the attack.
Russian media reported that the target of the attack was an oil refinery in Syzran, located about 800 kilometers east of the border with Ukraine, which has been attacked several times before.
The governor of Russia’s Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, stated that in a separate attack, a tanker was damaged in the Azov-Black Sea basin maritime channel.
The tanker was empty and there is no risk of an oil spill, Slyusar said.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that it attacked two Ukrainian ports in Odesa, while Ukrainian officials have not commented on the matter.
