At least 11 people, including three children, were killed in a Russian airstrike on residential buildings in the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine, Ukrainian officials announced today.
At least 16 people were injured in the attack, said Ivan Fedorov, co-chairman of the regional defense council. Ukrainian officials state that Russian bombings over the past four days have claimed more than 60 lives.
The attack came a day after US President Donald Trump announced a deal for the delivery of Russian diesel to the US; Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized the deal, stating it could enable Russia to wage war longer, calling the announcement a “smokescreen” for the negotiators’ actions.
