American President Donald Trump has decided that Katie Zacharia will be the new White House spokesperson, it has been confirmed by multiple sources.
News of the selection of the new spokesperson emerged on October 9, when The New York Times, citing sources close to the administration, reported that Trump had made the decision to appoint her.
The President then publicly confirmed the selection and praised her loyalty to his political agenda.
Katie Zacharia currently serves as senior communications advisor at Trump Media & Technology Group, which operates the social network Truth Social, one of the main channels of communication between the American president and the public. Previously, she worked at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where she briefly served as spokesperson during Kristi Noem’s tenure. She also gained experience as a political commentator on Fox News and Newsmax television networks.
Her task will be to present the administration’s positions daily and answer journalists’ questions ahead of the November congressional elections.
Her predecessor, Karoline Leavitt, left the White House at the end of August after the birth of her second child, deciding to devote more time to her family; according to announcements, she will continue her career as a Fox News television contributor.
