The Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, today called the bomb attack on a restaurant in the city a „brutal terrorist act,“ but did not specify who was responsible for it.
Sobyanin posted on social media that „yesterday in Moscow a brutal terrorist attack was carried out in which there were human casualties.“
„The injured are currently in city hospitals, where they are receiving all necessary care,“ he stated.
In the explosion near the restaurant-café last night, three people were killed—a security guard, a guest, and a female suicide bomber, local media reported.
At least 21 people were wounded when an explosive device was detonated in the restaurant on Kudrinsky Square in central Moscow, according to the National Anti-Terrorism Committee, as reported by the RIA Novosti agency.
The investigation into the attack is still ongoing, the Moscow Investigative Committee announced last night, and as of today, no one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
