European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos announced today that she spoke with Ukrainian Prime Minister Sergiy Koretsky about the country’s European path at a time when a Russian attack was underway.
In a post on X, Kos stated that she spoke with Koretsky this morning while Russian missiles were striking targets near his office.
According to her, the officials discussed the reforms needed for Ukraine to advance on its path toward the EU and its financial needs for the coming months.
„Even under heavy attack, Ukraine continues to work on its European future,“ the post said.
Kos added that the European Union (EU) will continue to help Ukraine meet its urgent needs in the areas of finance, energy, and defense, while also advancing the country’s EU accession process.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiha announced earlier today that Russia carried out a massive attack last night on Ukrainian ports, grain storage facilities, energy, industry, and other infrastructure with ballistic and hypersonic missiles and combat drones.
