European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos stated that Serbia, by amending the judicial laws adopted in parliament, has taken an important step towards membership in the European Union (EU).
Last night on X, Kos wrote that this move „contributes to restoring trust“.
The Commissioner noted that she discussed with the President of the Serbian Parliament, Ana Brnabić, about the „next steps Serbia needs to take on its path to the EU“.
„This includes advancing electoral reform in line with ODIHR recommendations in a transparent and inclusive manner, strengthening media freedom, and greater alignment with the EU’s foreign and security policy,“ the post concludes.
