Saudi Arabia issued a warning last night about a “hostile aerial threat,” and at least one explosion was heard in the capital, Riyadh.
There are no reports of casualties or material damage.
Alarm sirens sounded in Riyadh for the first time since the escalation of the conflict with the Yemeni Houthi rebels, who are supported by Iran.
Saudi authorities did not specify what triggered the alert or what caused the explosions that were heard.
