At least three people, including one child, were killed in Russian attacks on Kyiv and the surrounding area, officials announced this morning.
Two people were killed and four injured in the Ukrainian capital, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration on Telegram.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that several fires broke out, affecting houses, a store, and a warehouse, Reuters reports.
The head of the Kyiv region, Timur Tkachenko, stated on Telegram that one child was killed and three people injured in a Russian missile and drone attack in the area.
He reported that infrastructure facilities, houses, warehouses, and cars were damaged.
Ukraine’s neighbors, Romania and Poland, both European Union and NATO members, scrambled military aircraft to protect their airspace during the Russian attacks on Ukraine, the defense ministries announced on the X network.
