A key energy facility supplying Kyiv was hit in a Russian ballistic missile attack, and city officials announced that two people were killed, according to reports.
The Darnytska thermal power plant and a residential building were hit, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the attack was carried out “without warning to partners,” the BBC reported. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that 21 people were injured in the missile strike on the residential building.
Klitschko also announced that the mass missile attacks led to power outages in certain parts of the capital. The report recalls that Kyiv has reported several Russian attacks since U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Russia and Ukraine had reached an agreement to halt attacks on energy infrastructure.
