Federal Prosecutor of Belgium En Fransen paid a working visit to the Supreme Public Prosecutor’s Office (SPPO) of Serbia, where she discussed with its representatives the exchange of experiences and procedures in cases of criminal prosecution of drug trafficking, money laundering, and electronic evidence, it was announced today.
During her visit to Serbia, Fransen and public prosecutors from the Belgian Federal Prosecutor’s Office who head the departments for organized crime and international cooperation attended working and operational meetings at the SPPO and the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime, and also held talks with the chief public prosecutors of the Appellate, Higher, and Basic Public Prosecutor’s Offices in Novi Sad.
“The Supreme Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Federal Prosecutor’s Office of Belgium have maintained successful direct cooperation for more than 16 years based on the Cooperation Agreement between these prosecutor’s offices, which was concluded in 2010 within the framework of the applicable legal norms of our country, and which provides for ongoing contact and cooperation in combating the commission of serious criminal offenses,” the SPPO statement said.
