Đilas: The Ministry of Interior Is Hiding Data on the Addresses of 133,134 People Added to the Voter Register from 2020 to 2025

„The Ministry of Interior of Serbia is refusing to provide members of the Voter Register Revision Commission from the Party of Freedom and Justice with data on the addresses of 133,134 people who acquired Serbian citizenship from 2020 to 2025, because it would clearly show that most of these residences are fake,“ said Dragan Đilas, president of the Party of Freedom and Justice, on the podcast „Dežurni krivac.“

Đilas assessed that thanks to the diligence and persistence of Ana Gođevac, the SSP representative on the voter register commission, and her deputy Marko Dimić, the public learned that 133,134 people obtained Serbian citizenship over five years.

„For the 2023 elections, we proved how people were registered—50 of them at makeshift shacks on Prešernova, 150 at Vlada Mandić’s place, about a hundred at an unfinished building on Danijelova… That is why we asked the Ministry of Interior to provide commission members with data on the addresses where these 133,000 people are registered. From this data, it would be clear at which addresses there are more than, say, four people who are not related, and it could be proven that these residences are fake. Based on that, complaints would be filed both against those who registered and those who agreed to sign the false statement that these people live in their apartment or house. Also, criminal proceedings would be initiated against these individuals because by doing so, they participated in election fraud. All exactly as I publicly promised everyone who did this after the 2023 elections. Back then, they laughed at me. Now they are no longer laughing,“ Đilas explained.

„The Ministry of Interior, of course, refuses to provide this data, because both Dačić and Vučić are aware that exactly what I said would happen. We will continue to fight, and to all those with fake residences, I say that this is clear proof that their illegal activities cannot be hidden, because all this data exists and sooner or later we will obtain it. Therefore, they should think very carefully about whether they will repeat the criminal offense they committed in December 2023 in the upcoming elections, because in that case, the penalties will be greater,“ Đilas concluded.
