The US Embassy in Baghdad has urged its citizens in Iraq to exercise greater caution due to the risk of escalating war in the Middle East.
The statement was issued following a drone attack on Friday near the airport in the city of Erbil, in the Iraqi region of Kurdistan.
As with the US embassies in Israel and Jordan, the Embassy in Iraq has recommended that Americans prepare for possible flight cancellations, airspace closures, and other travel disruptions, according to the statement on the State Department’s website.
